1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using FieldScout ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

FieldScout is a mobile application that provides offline survival reference content, offline maps, mesh radio communication tools, interactive checklists, encrypted document storage, and related preparedness tools. The App is designed to function without internet connectivity.

3. Important Disclaimers

3.1 Not Professional Advice

• Medical content: The survival and first aid information in this App is general reference material. Always seek the advice of a qualified healthcare provider with any questions regarding a medical condition. In a medical emergency, call 911 or your local emergency number if available.
• Safety content: Survival techniques involve inherent risks. Your safety depends on your judgment, physical condition, experience, equipment, and environmental conditions. Lions Logistics LLC cannot account for your individual circumstances.

3.2 No Guarantee of Accuracy

While we strive to provide accurate and up-to-date information, Lions Logistics LLC makes no warranties or representations regarding the accuracy, completeness, reliability, or suitability of any content in the App. Survival situations are inherently unpredictable, and information that is generally correct may not apply to your specific circumstances.

3.3 No Guarantee of Functionality

The App is designed to work offline, but Lions Logistics LLC does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Mesh radio communication depends on third-party hardware (Meshtastic-compatible devices) and environmental conditions beyond our control. Map data is sourced from OpenStreetMap contributors and may contain inaccuracies.

3.4 Assumption of Risk

By using FieldScout, you acknowledge that survival situations involve significant risk of injury or death, and you assume full responsibility for your decisions and actions. Lions Logistics LLC shall not be liable for any injury, death, loss, or damage resulting from the use of information or tools provided by the App.

4. Use of the App

4.1 License

Lions Logistics LLC grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes, subject to these Terms.

4.2 Restrictions

You may not:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Copy, modify, or distribute the App's content without permission
• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices
• Redistribute, resell, or sublicense the App or its content

4.3 User Content

Any data you enter into the App (family profiles, checklists, emergency contacts, vault documents) is stored locally on your device. You are solely responsible for maintaining backups of your data. Lions Logistics LLC is not responsible for data loss resulting from device failure, app deletion, or any other cause.

5. In-App Purchases

5.1 Content Packs

Additional content (map regions, specialty library packs) may be available as in-app purchases. Purchases are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store) and are subject to their respective terms and refund policies.

5.2 Refunds

Refund requests for in-app purchases must be directed to Apple or Google, as they process all transactions. Lions Logistics LLC does not process payments or refunds directly.

5.3 Subscription Services

If you purchase the Grid Watch + FieldScout annual bundle, it is an auto-renewable subscription. You may cancel at any time through your Apple ID or Google Play account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

6. Mesh Communication

6.1 Third-Party Hardware

Mesh communication features require a Meshtastic-compatible LoRa radio device, which is sold separately by third-party manufacturers. Lions Logistics LLC does not manufacture, sell, or warranty mesh radio hardware.

6.2 Regulatory Compliance

LoRa radio devices operate on ISM (Industrial, Scientific, and Medical) frequency bands. Users are responsible for complying with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations regarding radio transmissions in their jurisdiction. Some frequencies may require an FCC license (e.g., GMRS). The App provides informational guidance but does not guarantee regulatory compliance.

6.3 No Guarantee of Message Delivery

Mesh communication is inherently unreliable and depends on radio range, terrain, atmospheric conditions, and the presence of relay nodes. Lions Logistics LLC does not guarantee message delivery, receipt, or timeliness.

7. Third-Party Content and Links

The App may contain links to third-party websites (e.g., Amazon for hardware purchases, Grid Watch for threat intelligence). These links are provided for convenience. Lions Logistics LLC does not endorse, control, or assume responsibility for third-party content, products, or services.

8. Intellectual Property

All content in the App — including text, graphics, logos, icons, and software — is the property of Lions Logistics LLC or its content licensors and is protected by United States and international copyright laws. Map data is sourced from OpenStreetMap contributors under the Open Database License (ODbL).

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Lions Logistics LLC, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any applicable law or regulation.

11. Termination

Lions Logistics LLC reserves the right to terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, for any reason, without notice. Upon termination, your license to use the App is revoked. Sections 3, 9, 10, and 11 shall survive termination.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Arizona, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved in the courts located in Maricopa County, Arizona.

13. Changes to These Terms

Lions Logistics LLC reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted at this URL with a revised effective date. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
